Secretary of the Army, John McHugh, has ordered that “all possible benefits,” be awarded to the families of those murdered by Muslim terrorist Nidal Hassan in the 2009 Fort Hood killings. This comes on the heels of last weeks’ Purple Heart award ceremonies for the Ft. Hood victims of Hassan; award presentations delayed 5 years thanks to the decision of Barack Hussein Obama to mask the Islamic terror murders committed by a fellow Muslim by declaring them “work place violence.” This despicable decision rendered family members ineligible for military benefits and the fallen unable to be awarded the Purple Heart.

It took an act of congress to expand the criteria of eligibility in order that Hassan’s victims could receive the medal and the shooting could be declared an act of terrorism. (1) This “necessary act of Congress” is of course the cover story meant to deliver jihad apologist and sympathizer Obama from his disgraceful decision to value the reputation of a Muslim terrorist over the lives of service members and the promise he made to Ft. Hood hero, former police sergeant Kimberly Munley, that the victims would be “well taken care of.” (4)

It was more than five years until the 47 victims of Hassan were awarded a Purple Heart or its civilian counterpart, a Defense of Freedom Medal. The ceremony was years in the making but the medals were initially awarded without the additional benefits that accompany the Purple Heart. It has been suggested that Secretary of the Army McHugh “changed his mind” and at last decided to provide benefits to victim families, but obviously that “change” was ordered by Barack Obama who had been embarrassed enough by the story in spite of media attempts to cover up for him as usual.

April 14 Memorandum

Secretary McHugh wrote that he “Intend(s) To Ensure That The Soldiers Receiving The Purple Heart Under The Expanded Criteria Also Receive All Other Related Benefits For Which They Are Eligible.” (2) Translation, he is afraid that he may have to face a congressional investigation. Some of the soldiers and family have an ongoing lawsuit still seeking more money from the government. Since the White House had to admit the shooting was an act of terrorism the Army was probably going to lose in court. But the “gesture” was obviously a face saving effort made on behalf of Barack Hussein, NOT the Army.

In addition to the Fort Hood survivors the medal and benefits will be awarded to the victims of a 2009 jihadist attack on a Little Rock, Arkansas, recruiting station. One soldier was killed and a second was wounded.

It’s about damn time this administration did something right concerning the Foot Hood victims, even though it took an act of congress to compel them. Now the victims of home grown Muslim terrorism have the recognition and care they so dearly needed. Kudos to Rep. John Carter, R-Texas for his tireless efforts since 2009 to grant the award to victims and their families, which also provided them additional health care, pay and survivor benefits. Job well done.
